Making Expanded Graphite
It can be dangerous and hazardous to health if not mentally prepared and Precautions not taken , Highly recommended to follow the exact steps before Making expanded graphite.
1. Make sure to have full beaker of water and baking soda ( Not premixed ) but must have handy in case of Acid spills. Baking soda and Water make acid to neutral as fast as possible.
2. must Use gloves and eye gaugles
Ingredients :
1. Graphite Flakes solid
2. Sulfuric Acid 93 % liquid
3. Amonium nitrate solid

2. Sulfuric Acid 93 % liquid
3. Amonium nitrate solid
4. 10 JENITORIAL STRENGTH Amonium liquid
Steps :
1. 1 Gram of Graphite
2. 4 Gram of Sulfuric Acid .
3. 2 Gram of amonium nitrate
4. Stir it using glass rod
5. Leave it for few hours .
6. Drop acetic solution drop by drop into Distilled Water. ( Pouring large amount may cause problem ) splattering.
7. Wash it with water 2 3 times ( 50 Ml of Water ) (Acid Once diluted first time , We can wash fast ..
8. 20 GRAMS OF jenitorial stregth of Ammonia to neutralize acid completely. add it slowly and stir it. Let it sit for 30 minutes. Check PH level. 7
9 . Wash 2 times with water again.
10. Filter
11. Dry .
12. Apply heat vary from 100 to 500 C (subject to experiment) .. for volume expansion.
